Willow didn't know how she had talked Giles into going to the Bronze with her and the others. He still felt uncomfortable in the club, totally out of place, but he had come for her. Always for her. They had been dating for a few months now, but it felt like forever. When they had finally faced up to their feelings for each other, so much had changed. Tara had become a thing of the past by then, but at least she remained a part of what they did. She still helped with spells and other witch-y things, and even had a new girlfriend by the name of Desiree.

Willow and Giles had a nasty run in with an ice demon that night, and Giles nearly froze to death during the fight. That was when Willow knew it. She was in love with him, and as it turned out he was in love with her. That first night with Giles was nothing short of magical, and by dawn there was no turning back for them, and their love was as complete as possible. The others weren't actually surprised when they found out, nor was it a shock for them when Willow moved in with Giles a few weeks later. Now here they were, an official couple.

{Pride can stand}
{A thousand trials}
{The strong will never fall}

The others had already headed out to the dance floor, enjoying the romantic song the band of the week was playing. It was deep and sultry, sung by a local girl with a very deep, verbrato voice. Buffy was happily slow dancing with Riley and Anya was just content hugging onto Xander, swaying to the music. Spike sat in another corner chatting with Buffy's sister, Dawn, as she sipped down a Coke and laughed at his jokes. Giles had personally asked Spike to give them some privacy, and the blond vamp was more than happy to be chatting with Dawn, calling her ‘more interesting company'. It had been some time since they had had some quality alone time, and Willow was personally glad for it, but she had to wonder what Giles was up to.

{But watching stars without you}
{My soul cried}

With Giles, Willow had never felt so complete. He understood her in ways Oz or Tara never could, and she couldn't help but feel like she had know him all her life. They fit together in a way she couldn't begin to have the words for, yet anyone who watched them could see it clearly intheir eyes. There was a type of knowledge there, about each other. Even if they didn't agree about some things, there was never a question between them on where the other was coming from. That was part of the magic of their love.

Willow thought Giles looked…she couldn't quite place it. She would almost say nervous, but she told herself that she was being silly, that Giles wouldn't have anything to be nervous about, not with her anyway. They were way beyond that now. They had survived so much by sticking together. From the Master to the First Slayer, they had managed to get through, so what could it be now? It scared her a little, but she did her best to quell the fear she felt creeping up.

{Heaving heart is full of pain}
{Oh, oh, the aching}

“Willow,” Giles asked softly, forcing her from her thoughts. “Is everything okay?” Willow gave him a slow nod.

“It's just, you look so… is everything okay, Rupert?” He gave her a small
smile.

“Perfect, love. I just have something on my mind, that's all,” he
explained.

“Oh. Can I help?” she offered coyly. He calmly took her hand, and her
heart began to race. Something was definitely happening.

“As a matter of fact yes, you can.”

{Cause I'm kissing you}
{Oh, I'm kissing you, oh.}

He slowly reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small box.  Then Willow's heart really began to beat, fast and furious.  Could it be…?  Some of the people at near-by tables began to watch as they realized what was happening.  Gently, Giles got down on one knee and pulled out a small gold band.

“I couldn't think of a better way to do this,” he joked, and then his look sobered as he choked down his apprehension.  “Willow, will you do me the honor of being my wife?”  The other patrons got strangely quite as the music played on, everyone waiting for Willow's answer.

{Touch me deep, pure and true}
{Gift to me forever}

“Yes,” she cried, tears framing the edges of her eyes. “Of course I will!”  Giles gave her a lopsided grin, and she gave him a kiss. He picked her up deftly and twirled her around, Willow shrieking with delight as the other patrons also grinned at the happy couple, some breaking out in applause for the couple.  From the dance floor, the others heard the commotion and turned their attention to Willow and Giles, and from the corner, Spike and Dawn looked up to see what was going on.

{Cause I'm kissing you}
{Oh, I'm kissing you}

Buffy tugged on Riley's shirt, and they left the floor to see what had happened, and Anya and Xander closely followed them.  As they approached the table, the four Scoobies were joined by Spike and Dawn, making the Scooby Gang complete.

“What's going on guys? Why the scene?”  Buffy asked. Willow practically beamed. She looked over to Giles, and he smiled broadly back.

“Rupert asked me to marry him. And I said yes!”  Buffy clapped her hand
over her mouth.

“Will! That's wonderful!”  the Slayer cried as she took her friend into a
hug. Xander clapped Giles on the back.

“Way to go, Big Guy! I knew she'd say yes!”  Riley grinned at that.

“Congratulations, Mr. Giles, Willow,” he offered.  “I'm glad it worked out for you guys.”  Spike gave Dawn a pointed look, then looked back at Giles.

“Well, all I can say is that this has been a long time coming, Rupert. Just take it easy on him Red.  I'd had to see him worn out by the wedding preparation.”  Spike quipped.

“It would be a shame,” Anya agreed.  “But the planning has taken down greater men that you, Giles,” she added.  Dawn rolled her eyes.

“Can we all just agree that this is SO cool?”

“Well said, little sister,” Buffy interjected. “Cool it definitely is.”

“Agreed,” Riley added.

{Where are you?}
{Where are you?}
{Cause I'm, oh I'm kissing you}
{I'm kissing you, oh, ohhh!}

“So now we have to plan!” Buffy cried. “You have to get a dress, and a cake, a minister or a rabbi, and some music, and don't forget the flower… God, there's so much to do, Will!”

“Buffy, we haven't even set a date yet!” Willow admonished.

“You have to do that too!” The Slayer added.  “C'mon. I'm sure that I've got some notebooks at home, so we can get started!”  The Slayer grabbed Willow's arm and began leading her to the exit as Willow gave Giles a defeated look.  Anya looked over to Xander, shrugged her shoulders, and went to join them, followed by a bouncy Dawn.

“You've created a monster, Giles,” Riley observed as the ladies left.  “Should I be sweating now?”  Riley added as an afterthought.  Xander shook his head.

“Nah. I'd wait until at least the dress fitting.  Then sweat,” the dark-haired young man quipped.  Then he faced Giles.  “I'm sure Will will be worth it,” he said softly.

“I don't doubt that, Xander.” Giles replied. Spike rolled his eyes.

“All right you sods, can we celebrate now?  I've had enough of this bloody mushy crap, and a beer is order.  Now who's going to join me?” The other men shrugged their shoulder and they all headed to the bar.

“No doubt,” Giles muttered.
