Willow strolled along the common, Buffy at her side. Her face matched her hair for color. "No, Buff, I am not got going to tell you anything, other than, it was wonderful." With a spark of spirit, that was becoming more common as her relationship with Giles grew she added, "My private life is mine."
The blonde laughed, "And Giles, can't forget Giles."
A shiver ran down the redheads back. "I never forget Rupert."
"And it still gives me the wiggens to hear you call Giles, Rupert. I mean he's Giles. He's always been Giles."
"And to you he, still is missy. But he can be and is my Rupert." Sigh, "He is the only man on the hellmouth to me. I still can't believe that he's mine."
"So, what ya doing this weekend? You and the wild man from Britian."
"The same thing we do every weekend, Pinky. Saving the world."
"New demon in town, or big prophesy?"
"Well, we thought, we'd save the world from a cosy, romantic bed and breakfast down near San Francisco. We're leaving as soon as I get out of classes, Friday. Barring Angelus returning or the hellmouth opening, we should get back late Sunday evening."
"Wow, romantic getaways, breakfast on the kitchen counter," if it was possible the redhead got even redder. "I am so glad that I at least get to live vicariously through you. Since Riley left, I...I'm just not interested in guys. Then, there's the whole Dawn issue. If she gets in my closet one more time, I'm gonna slay her."
"Buff, take it as a complement. She just wants to grow up to be like her big sister."
"Thank God, she doesn't have to. I don't think I could handle Dawn being a slayer. I want her to have a normal life, well as normal a life as she can. I don't guess there's a lot of normal involved in having a slayer for a sister."
"Not alot, no. Look Buff I enjoyed the bonding and all, but I'm meeting Rupert at the shop for some training of the witchey kind. I gotta go."
"Training, is that what they're calling smoochies these days. I may have to look into that." The tiny blonde laughed at the look of embrassment and pride that warred on her best friends face. "I'll see you later, I guess. I have to train with Giles later, but I'm betting no smoochies for the slayer."
"There had better not be. I would have to cast some sort of spell. Hmmm..I wonder how that would work."
With a look of mock fear, Buffy cried out, "No, not that. Anything but that. Anyway, I'll see you later." The two girls parted, one to make her way to her future, the other to her sick mother and annoying little sister.
